The Chocolate Caper

The Chocolate Caper is a family-owned & operated small business located in Oregon, WI since 1982.  Founders Ellen & Claude Marendaz began by making their signature chocolates at home and selling them at local farmer’s markets.  As customer demand grew, a retail store and production facility were born.  As Ellen & Claude prepared to retire, Elizabeth and Dan Donoghue were preparing for their next great life adventure; the two couples met, and it was a match made in heaven.  In 2014, the Donoghue family accepted the reins and the great blessing that is the Caper.  Elizabeth & Dan, along with their children & loyal chocolate minions, continue to operate it to this day.
